An integrated humidifier manages the room’s humidity at just the right comfort level, and the stainless steel heat exchanger delivers an AFUE efficiency rating of up to 84%. Some direct vent models come with a 7-day/28-event programmable thermostat that automatically provides heats at the times you select. If you’re away for extended periods, you can set the heater as low as 38 degrees for frost protection. All direct vent heaters come with a through-the-wall venting kit that requires just a 3-inch diameter hole and will work in walls from 4½ inches up to 31 inches thick. The heaters also come with a 10 year guarantee on the heat exchanger and 5 years on parts.

Rinnai’s vent-free heaters also feature a cool-to-the-touch cabinet, child safety lock, electronic ignition (no pilot light), and whisper quiet seven-stage fully modulating blower. These heaters are as small as 14¾ x 14½ x 6¾ inches. Some models can be wall-mounted to save even more space. Remote control and dual on/off programming is available on the RC-606TRA-II model which is suitable for a large room.
